"It's not easy to please a nine-year old and a teenager (and their parents) but White Hart Barn really hit the jackpot. Perfect peace and tranquillity yet only three miles from town, decent supermarkets and even an outlet shopping village. Bats at dusk, butterflies, four-leaf clover, dog-friendly, we loved the flat landscape (great for cycling) and the huge, open, star-filled skies were amazing to us townies.
Glastonbury Tor nearby for when we fancied a climb, Longleat, Wookey Hole and the shopping and city life delights of Bath and Bristol all within easy striking distance. We could easily have filled a second week. The house is deliciously chic but totally comfy and homely. We relished piling on the gorgeous leather corner sofa and chilling out at the end of the day, with or without the flatscreen TV (and Freeview!) The washing machine was handy and the kitchen is properly kitted out - fantastic Britannia cooker. It was great to sleep on a different floor to the kids and we loved the faux furs and antiques.
It was a really super holiday, highly recommended for a total break. Everyone wants to come back so we're definitely rebooking. Fantastic holiday, thanks so much Kim, see you next year!"

" We stayed at Kim's barn in August 2010. The welcome we received was warm and friendly. The barn was perfect for us with great views across the countryside. We had plenty of encounters with local wildlife and our 5 and 6 year olds loved rooting around in the gardens and chasing the chickens. Theres a small river next to the barn with a rowboat and we saw minows and lots of dragonflies. The word quaint is a terrible cliche these days but it's difficult to think of anywhere it would apply better. The whole barn was well furnished and very comfortable. The lounge/kitchen is well equipped with a large plasma for rainy days and plenty of equipment for cooking. There was an excellent welcome pack provided by Kim. Theres plenty to see and do and Im sure we'll be back."

"We've had a wonderful stay in the barn, it's beautiful. We came to celebrate our anniversary but would love to come back with our teenagers some time as they'd love it too. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise, we felt very much at home. We didn't manage a bike ride or a river row but did have a great walk in the sunshine - it's such a beautiful area. 'The Old Spot' in Wells didn't disappoint, delicious food.
This is our top Under The Thatch property, we loved it, so thank you very much. The only problem was it went far too quickly! Many thanks.
